No. 02Look — let's be honest

The plant-based world can be a lot.

Somewhere along the way, eating plants turned into a whole personality test. Everybody's got a rule. Everybody's got an opinion. And if you're not perfectly whole-food, oil-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, and spiritually at peace with your produce, somebody on the internet is gonna let you know about it.

That kind of pressure is exhausting — and honestly, it scares off a lot of good people from something that could genuinely change their life.

"

This isn't that. Nobody's quizzing you on your oil intake. Nobody's side-eyeing you for not knowing what nutritional yeast is yet. (You'll get there. It's fine.)

We're just a bunch of people who like good food, want to eat better, and figured out we stick with it a whole lot longer when we're doing it together.

No. 03The guy in charge

Hey, I'm Shane.
And I promise you, I am not a wellness influencer.

I'm a Southern guy, a family man, and someone who spent way too many years eating the wrong stuff and feeling every bit of it. Plant-based food is what turned that around — not because I went all-in on being perfect, but because I figured out how to make it taste good and actually fit into a real life. My life. With kids and leftovers and Tuesdays.

I still love big flavor. I still cook for my family. I am still not chasing a six-pack. I just want to feel good, stick around for my grandkids, and eat food that doesn't taste like punishment for something I did in my twenties.

That's the whole idea behind this community. Not a program. Not a 30-day anything. Just a table with room for everybody, good food on it, and absolutely no dress code.

No. 04How it works

Here's how
it works.

Three steps. No clipboard. No 14-page onboarding sequence. We kept it simple on purpose.

01

Join.

Subscribe on Substack. Cancel anytime, no guilt trip, no "wait, before you go" pop-up. We're not clingy. We're just good company.

02

Show up however works for you.

Cook live with Shane. Dig into exclusive recipes and interviews. Ask questions. Lurk in the back for three months before you say a word — we see you, and that's fine too. Share what you made, even if it looks nothing like the picture. There's no wrong way to be here.

03

Find your people.

Suddenly you're surrounded by people who get genuinely fired up about a plant-based meatloaf. Who text "did you try the cashew queso yet" like it's breaking news. Welcome home.

What you get
as a member.

Cooking, conversations, and recipes that make plant-based feel like the easiest part of your week, not the hardest.

2 guaranteed per month · Plus bonus calls

Live calls with Shane

Two guaranteed live calls every month — could be a cook-along, an expert interview, a Stump Shane session, or something else entirely. Plus additional bonus calls thrown in on a regular basis whenever there's something worth getting on video for. Miss one? The replay's not going anywhere.

Stump
Signature event · Monthly

Stump
Shane.

Once a month, members throw a dish at Shane that has absolutely no business being plant-based — and he's got to make it work anyway.

Loaded nachos. Chicken and waffles. That kind of chaos. Shane figures it out. Mostly. Either way, it's a good time, and somebody's kitchen is about to smell incredible.

2 new per month · Members only

Exclusive recipes as PDFs and member-only Substack posts

Two brand-new recipes every month, exclusive to members and delivered as clean PDFs. No ads, no 1,200-word detour about somebody's trip to Tuscany before you get to the ingredients. Just the recipe — simple, and ready to cook.

Conversations

Expert interviews

Plant-based doctors, nutritionists, authors, and chefs you've actually heard of. You're not watching from the sidelines — you get to ask the questions yourself, live.

Whenever

Bonus & impromptu

Shane shows up when he's got something worth sharing — a quick video, a surprise session, a resource he put together because three different people asked the same question.

Coming soon

Simple meal plans

Practical, built for real people with real schedules and real chaos. More on this soon.

On principle

Zero ads

The blog has ads. This doesn't. You're paying for it, so it should actually feel like it.

No. 06The honest part

You can absolutely do this on your own. Most people do.

The blog's free. YouTube's free. You can get a ton out of both without joining a thing, and that's genuinely fine; I'm not offended. But here's what the blog and YouTube can't do: high-five you when you make something good. Answer your 9 pm "is this supposed to look like this?" question. Or just remind you that you're not the only person at the cookout eating the weird tofu thing while everyone else has ribs.

If you've ever finished cooking something you were actually proud of and had nobody to show it to… if you've had a question and no idea who to ask… if you've felt a little alone trying to eat better in a world that's mostly set up to make that harder, that's exactly what this is for. You don't have to do it solo. You're just allowed to.

No. 07A week in the life

Picture this.

You open Substack and there's a new recipe waiting — not "eventually, when you're inspired" recipe, but actually-want-to-make-this-tonight recipe. Shane's going live in an hour cooking something that has no business tasting as good as it's about to. Someone in the community just posted their Sunday dinner and now you're elbow-deep in their comments asking for the recipe like it's breaking news.

Nobody's lecturing. Nobody's competing for cleanest eating of the week. It's just good food, good people, and something to actually look forward to instead of dread.

That's what this community is.
